It’s Blue Moon weekend.
Which means a lot of people are talking about release. Letting go. Resetting. Manifesting. Deep cleaning their energy. Maybe deep cleaning their junk drawer if the spirit really moves them. And honestly? I’m into release. I’m also into practicality. Because sometimes what’s making your life feel hard isn’t a lack of discipline, motivation, healing, manifestation, productivity, or "trying harder." Sometimes your life just has too many damn steps. I’ve been in the middle of a home rehaul project. Not a cute Pinterest version. The real version. The “why do I own this,” “who thought this storage system made sense,” and “apparently I accidentally organized my life around an aspirational version of myself again” version. And something became very clear: Most people are not failing because they don’t care enough. They’re failing because their environment, systems, expectations, and internal patterns create constant invisible friction. Example. My new Ninja blender system. I use it every day for protein coffee. Every day. So the blender base has a permanent home on my counter. Because pretending I’m going to enthusiastically pull it out, use it, wash it, dry it, and perfectly store it every single morning is… optimistic. The daily blender cups? Easy access. Food processor attachment? Occasional-use storage. Not because I’m lazy. Because frequency matters. Reality matters. How I naturally operate matters. Same with my wellness gadgets. I love my vibration plate. Will I use it consistently if it requires digging through a closet and setting up an entire production every time? No. Because effort compounds. Steps compound. Friction compounds. And this applies to way more than kitchens and wellness gadgets. It shows up in businesses. Relationships. Health. Schedules. Homes. Goals. Lives. People tell me all the time: "I don't know what I want." Meanwhile… their inbox is full of recipes, travel ideas, business strategy, spiritual rabbit holes, weird niche interests, design inspiration, and the same three things they always save but never talk about publicly. Their Pinterest knows. Their environment knows. Their daily complaints know. Their friction knows. There are clues everywhere. You just haven't been taught to look there. This Blue Moon, maybe your reset isn't becoming a completely different person. Maybe it's getting radically honest about how you actually function. Not aspirational-you. Not optimized-you. Not the version of you who wakes up naturally hydrated at 5am and meal preps for fun. You-you. The one who needs things visible. Easy. Grouped. Supported. The one who stops treating everyday life like a constant test of discipline. Because life shouldn't require this much effort just to maintain. And healing? Healing isn't just clearing energy. Healing is removing what creates unnecessary resistance between you and your actual life. Sometimes that's subconscious patterns. Sometimes it's people pleasing. Sometimes it's over-functioning. Sometimes it's the blender living in the wrong cabinet. No, seriously. The question isn't: "How can I force myself to do better?" Try this instead: Where does my life have more friction than it needs to? Your space. Your schedule. Your business. Your relationships. Your routines. Your expectations. Your identity. Start there. You might be surprised how much easier things become when you stop adapting to systems that don't fit. And if you're ready for support finding the invisible friction in yours… that's exactly what I help people do.
